ABOUT RAJUN CAJUN

Trushar Patel opened Rajun Cajun in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood in 1993, offering freshly-prepared traditional Indian specialties along with Southern comfort foods. All the food is made in-house with lots of peeling and chopping of fresh ingredients - nothing is ready-made or from a can. Fans of the cafeteria-style restaurant send postcards from around the world to Trushar, missing the saag paneer, samosas, butter chicken, chicken curry, mango lassi, and more.

You've likely never experienced this inspired Indian/Southern mash-up of cuisines before, so be sure to visit Rajun Cajun soon to dine in, or order takeout or delivery. Any restaurant with a 20+ year history and food so beloved it inspires legions of fans to put pen to paper has got to be something special. Rajun Cajun offers gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan items, and all meat used is halal.
